It has a timer and Pause ‘n Serve options which let you control and specify the time you want your coffee brewed as well as letting you pour out a cup while the coffee maker is brewing.
It has automatic turn off to shutdown the unit after an hour which works out great for people who tend to forget turning it off.
It is cheap at around $20 making it affordable for just about everyone who desires to brew their own coffee.

Disadvantages:

Some of the disadvantages of Mr. Coffee DRX5 are -

Slow brewing time. It does take a little bit longer (around 4 min) compared to other coffee makers to brew and this is primarily because of its small size and build.
The removable filter basket is not available locally. My recommendation is to purchase a couple of permanent filters along with the coffee maker during the initial purchase itself.
Mr. Coffee DRX5 will brew 4 cups of coffee at a time and these are four small cups of 4-5 oz. each which equates to about 2 large cups. This would not be sufficient for a large volume coffee drinker or a family.
Some users have complained of the coffee having a plastic smell.

Conclusion:

In conclusion Mr. Coffee DRX5 on a budget of around $20 works very well and is very easy to use. All one needs to do is set the clock and the delay timer, put in the coffee and fill up the reservoir with water and finally push the button to have Mr. Coffee DRX5 brew them a perfect cup of coffee. All said and done it does not get easier than Mr. Coffee DRX5 coffee maker to brew coffee the way you like it and whenever you want it.
